My laptop was $900. 17.3 inch screen with 1920? x 1080 pixels. 2.2ghz quadcore, 8gb ram, Nvidia Geforce 555m 3D 3GB Graphics card. Better laptop, cheaper price.

@Sebbl3 my netbook has same size screen as you 250gb HDD and 2gb ram. only thing less is the processor which is a 1.3ghz single core though this is the older version netbook newer is dual core. my battery is bad but im buying a 6 cell battery soon for $30? which gives 8 hrs battery. Spent $200 on this one. This is my rainy day comp though. main has 16 gb ram 2.5tb hdd 2.8ghz 6 core processor 2 19 inch HD monitors 6950 1gb gfx card only spent $1700 on that but well worth it.

well, all games I buyed on steam (css, team fortress, to name two) are available on mac to the? pricing point, you are correct, they are expensive, but lets compare, take a macbook air (999$) and now start searching for an cheaper laptop with the same specifications (11 inch screen with at least 1366 x 768 pixels, 64gb SSD, 1.6ghz dualcore, 2gb ram, at least 5h of battery life, only 1kg) I found a few.. and NONE of them is under 1000$, rethink your argument ;)

As I do realize that steam does work for macs, I looked at the availability of the games for macs. Yes there are hundreds of mac games but unless your looking at playing snuggle truck then your better off playing on a PC for the better games. If they weren't so expensive I would have less against them but the price for? what your get is over the top. I would say your paying around $1000 for the laptop and another $1000 for the half eaten apple on the case.
